Operator and contact

Literacy Guide is currently operated by Benjamin Bowler, trading as Literacy Guide. Email benjamesbowler@gmail.com for privacy, legal, security or accessibility matters.

Commercial boundary. The current service is a free beta. It does not take payments or accept paid online orders. A paid school contract will not be offered until the contracting identity, geographic service address, price and tax information, provider agreements and UK international-transfer safeguards have been completed and supplied to the customer.

How the beta is reviewed

Human checking is continuous and works by exception: current content is treated as accepted unless a reviewer reports a defect. A reported defect is quarantined from the learner experience until corrected. This operating rule does not replace a school’s own safeguarding, accessibility, DPIA or procurement decisions.

Learning audio

Sound Seekers uses reviewed AI-generated voice recordings for some instructional sound cues, including the contextual sounds in words such as again, clear, wanted and sure. These recordings use Google’s Leda voice. Reviewed recordings may be reused for spellings that share the same sound.

Notices and changes

Material changes are dated on the relevant page. Teachers accept a versioned Terms of Use and acknowledge a versioned Privacy Notice when requesting an account. Invited parents or guardians do the same before a learner link is created. Schools should save the versions that apply to their use.
